Library

Today the library is celebrating Poem in Your Pocket Day. If you would like to have a poem to carry around today and hopefully share with others, come to the library any time to choose one. Poetry is a great way to add a note of humour, pathos, or thoughtfulness to your day.

Just a reminder that there are only two days left to experience the library’s Poetry Creation Stations. Come and try your hand at Blackout, Book Spine, Found, Magnetic and Paint Strip Poetry.

It’s time again for the annual SYNC free audiobooks for teens program. Every year, starting now and continuing for 14 weeks until the end of July, Audiofile Magazine and Overdrive provide 2 audiobooks each week that are connected by theme. They can only be downloaded during that week and are replaced by another 2 books the next week. A link for the SYNC program is on the library’s Leisure Reading webpage and posters about the current set of audiobooks is in the library window. The week runs from Thursday to Wednesday.

In the first two audiobooks, which are available from April 25-May 1, listeners will find that friendship matters, whether you're close to home or on the run! Swing, a free-verse poetic story, will speak to anyone who’s struggled to find their voice and take a swing at life, and in Blink and Caution two street kids get tangled in a plot over their heads—and risk an unexpected connection—in this heart-pounding thriller.

Junior Ambassadors

We will be meeting with the Spirit Squad in Ms. Fougere’s room at Middle School lunch. If you cannot attend, please let Ms. Murphy know in Student Services.

Jr. Girls Basketball

There will be a short meeting for all members of the Jr. Girls Basketball team at the beginning of Middle School recess in Mr. Bunin’s room.
